|
|
Over the past three days the admin team have been sharing thoughts and improving on some basic ideas for the first #euro league. Here is what we have thought up so far:
The league format will be based from that of a football league. A 'team' represents a 'player' and you earn 1 point for a map win.
You choose one map from a limited selection chosen by the admins. This will be youe 'home' map.
You play your each opponent two times in one season, 'home' and 'away'.
After all games have been played there will be play-offs for those who come in the qualifying position for this. The number of play-off slots depend on the size of each division and is yet to be further discussed.
In the event of a tie of points between players at the end of a season, Frags should act as 'goal difference' and decide 1st and 2nd place respectfully. In the event of a tie between frag difference the whole world will implode and we will be pushed into outer space.
Players who are 'cunts' and do not play their games will receive a ban from registering in the next season unless there is good reason for the absence.
Please share your suggestions here. We want to hear them! Thanks. |

It's a very good ideea.
You should set a wide variety of maps too choose your home from. It's no fun if there are just a few maps. |

The problem with a variety of maps is that it becomes really hard keeping a fair and friendly fraglimit. We still haven't decided on 50/40 frags yet but we'll see.
The maps given may seem limited but the season should not take too long, and leaving out maps gives us fuel for seasons to come. |

The time/fraglimit could also be decided by the "home" team. I think they should be able to pick their own map + settings. |

We talked about a fraglimit depending on the different maps people play in one season. The problem with this was that 'Frags' could no longer be used in the event of a tie at the top/bottom of a table, so changing framlimit is a stretch. |

Just make it old school settings n league it up how doom was ment to be played. Probably best making it 50 for the maps as these are going to be "Professional" games. |

I agree with fluffles, 50 fraglimit is the best way to go.
That way, you have a chance of catching up if you get spree killed. |
